The family of Carl Emerson Lee, Jr. announces with deep sorrow his passing on July 31, 2025, at the age of 76. Born to the late Carl and Frances Lee on March 5, 1949, in Chelsea, Massachusetts, Carl was a resident of Hampton Roads, Virginia, for the past 72 years. He graduated from Granby High School in 1968 before joining the United States Marine Corps, where he received numerous medals and commendations prior to his honorable discharge in 1974.

Carl dedicated 27 years of distinguished service as a Norfolk Police Officer. Upon retirement, he continued his commitment to public safety, serving as a Community Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Security Planner for the City of Chesapeake Police Department, retiring after more than 23 years in 2020.

Carl enjoyed spending time with close friends and tending to his yard and garden. He was a devoted member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Norfolk, Virginia, and an active participant in the Knights of Columbus Council 3548, where he was a 3rd degree member.

Carl leaves behind his beloved wife of 53 years, Janice; his son Chad (Jacqueline); sister Joanne (the late Jimmy); niece Yvonne (Robin); nephews James (Ellen) and Ronald (Elizabeth); bonus grandson, Elijah, and many extended family members and dear friends.
