ORWELL- Carl Douglas Mader, 68, passed away on March 24, 2025, at UH Geauga Medical Center.
Carl was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 15, 1956, the son of Carl and Ethel (Bays) Mader.
He graduated from Grand Valley High School in 1976.
Carl worked hard for everything he had while battling some serious health issues throughout his life. He loved his family with his entire heart and was very proud of all of them. He enjoyed fishing when he took time to relax, and he loved watching football on the weekends. On Sundays, you could find him in front of the television cheering for his favorite team, the Cincinnati Bengals.
He is survived by his loving family; his daughter Rachael Montoya; his brother Steve (Theresa) Mader and his sister Neva Mader; and his nephew Clay Mader and niece Lindsay Mader.
He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Ethel Mader.
In honor of his wishes private family services will be held.
Condolences can be left for the family at www.czupfuneral.com

I knew Carl when we were students at Grand Valley High School in the 1970s. He was very friendly, and easy to talk to. I'd also occasionally cross paths with him after our school days, and talk over old times! I was very sorry to hear of his passing, and send my condolences to his family. Sincerely, George Girman
