Larry Anderson, 79, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 Ashtabula Regional Medical Center.
Larry was born on October 4, 1945, in Warren, the son of Glenn and Jennie (Holt) Anderson. He graduated with the Grand Valley High School Class of 1964 and went on to honorably serve our country in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1969, having enlisted during his senior year. In 1972, he earned his Bachelor's degree from Mary Hardin–Baylor College. Larry served as a City Councilman for many years and held various Quality Manager positions throughout his career, including at Union Carbide and ShieldAlloy Metallurgical, until his retirement in 2014.
A dedicated volunteer, Larry spent 12 years serving with St. Joseph's Food Pantry. He also enjoyed reading, gardening, and taking the occasional cruise with his beloved wife, Patti.
Larry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patti Anderson; children, Michael (Dawne) Anderson and Michelle (Brett) Lewis; grandchildren, Brennen, Bryson, and Brayden Lewis, Jordan Ohmes, and Haley Anderson; siblings, Darlyne Gamlin, Donald (Anne) Anderson, and Gary (Kristine) Anderson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Peace Parish, 1200 E 21st St, Ashtabula, on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 11AM, with Father Hetzel presiding. A calling hour will be held from 10AM until the time of mass. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Our lady of Peace Parrish, Neighbor to Neighbor Food Pantry at St. Joseph's, or St. Vincent De Paul, 1200 E 21st St, Ashtabula.
The Anderson family would like to thank of all the wonderful staff at ARMC, especially those in the ICU.
