Henry Alex Cicon, age 84, of Ashtabula, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home. Born on July 29, 1941, in Ashtabula, Ohio, Henry was the beloved son of Peter and Mary (Rock) Cicon. A lifelong resident of the area, he graduated from Edgewood High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Army as a draftsman. On June 9, 1970, Henry married the love of his life, Janice Terry, beginning a devoted partnership that lasted nearly four decades. He worked for 25 years with Local Union #44 and also helped run Pete & Mary's Bar in North Kingsville alongside his parents-a cherished local spot that reflected his deep roots in the community. Henry was a proud member of both the American Legion and the VFW. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life-tending to his yard, cutting down trees, and later, playing BINGO at the nursing home. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family, who brought him endless pride and happiness. He is survived by his loving sons, Chad (Jennifer) Cicon and Cory Cicon; his adored grandchildren, Hannah, Mallory, and Derek Cicon; and his best friend Cliff Brummet. Henry was preceded in death by his wife Janice in 2009; his brother, Peter Cicon; sister, Jean Davis; and his parents. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in North Kingsville. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. The family would like to thank the staff at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home for all their kindness and care given to Henry while he was there. Memorial contributions in Henry's name may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004, or to the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League, 5970 Green Rd., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
