Carl Richard Nicholas, age 82, passed away on November 5, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas. Born on December 31, 1941, Carl's life was marked by his humor, intelligence, and kindness, traits that endeared him to all who knew him.
Carl proudly served in the Air Force during the 1960s, a period that shaped much of his early adult life. After his military service, he embarked on a rewarding career spanning over three decades with Boeing and Spirit, contributing significantly to both organizations.
A graduate of Wichita State University, Carl's commitment to education was evident in his continuous pursuit of knowledge and personal growth. Beyond his professional and military life, he cherished time spent bowling with his wife, Sue, and their children, creating lasting memories.
Carl leaves behind his beloved wife, Sue Nicholas; son, Bill (Amy) Nicholas; daughters, Christy (Randy) Baty and Peggi Nicholas; brother, Robert (Sharon) Nicholas; sister, Joyce Neal; grandchildren, Dalton, Dillon, Hannah, Miranda, Gideon and great-grandchildren, Kya and McKenzie; and a host of nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Amber (Fackler) Nicholas, and his sister, Sharon Yoast.
Graveside Services will be 1:00pm, Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Kensington Gardens Cemetery. Carl's life and legacy will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
