Carl Ole Olson III, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, in his hometown of Evansville, Indiana, at the age of 54. Born on January 21, 1971, to the late Carl Olson II and Mary Olson, Carl's life was a testament to the enduring power of love and family.
Carl's journey through life was shared with his beloved wife of nearly three decades, Juanita Olson. Together, they built a life filled with joy and laughter, raising three wonderful children: William (Paige) Casteel, Dacoda (Mario) Ricketts, and Carl Olson IV. Carl's role as a grandfather was one he cherished deeply, and he leaves behind a legacy of love in his grandchildren Remington, Emberlynn, Max, Reina, Aiden, and Liam.
Carl's siblings, Travis Hoehn and Cindy Olson, will fondly remember their brother's generous spirit and unwavering support. He was a pillar of strength in their family, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
A man of many talents and interests, Carl had a passion for the outdoors that was unmatched. He found solace in the tranquility of boating and fishing, activities that brought him closer to nature. Carl's love for the outdoors was only rivaled by his skill in remodeling; he once impressively built a house from the ground up in just two months, a feat that showcased his remarkable work ethic and dedication.
Carl's years in Brooksville, Florida, were filled with warm memories and enduring friendships. He carried the sunshine of Florida with him, brightening the lives of those around him with his loving and kind nature.
Above all, Carl's heart belonged to his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather. His presence was a source of comfort and joy, and his love was the foundation upon which his family thrived.
As we bid farewell to Carl Ole Olson, we do so with hearts full of gratitude for the time we shared with him. His memory will live on in the stories told by his grandchildren, the home he built with his own two hands, and the countless lives he touched with his warmth and generosity.
Carl's life was a beautiful portrait of love in action, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May we find comfort in the knowledge that his spirit continues to guide us, just as the North Star guides a ship at sea. Rest in peace, dear Carl, until we meet again.
Carl will be having visitation Thursday May 1st at Sunset from 11am to 1pm at Sunset Funeral Home. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Carl, please visit our floral store.
