Carl Pellegrin, Jr. Obituary
Carl Joseph Pellegrin, Jr., age 58, passed away surrounded by his loving family and friends on Sunday, July 16, 2023. Carl was a native of Chauvin and a longtime resident of Pointe-Aux-Chenes.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation in the Magnolia Chapel of Chauvin Funeral Home on Sunday, July 23, 2023, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montegut beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place in St. Charles Borromeo Church Cemetery.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Nina Benoit Pellegrin; children, Chris Pellegrin and companion Jennie Matthews, Trent Pellegrin and wife Irene Nelton, Heather Pellegrin, and adopted daughter Kimberly Arceneaux; grandchildren, Morgan and Myles "Bubba" Pellegrin, Ariana and Will Matthews; mother, Linda Crochet Pellegrin; siblings, Trudy Luke and husband Timmy, Lance Pellegrin and wife Nikki, Tammy Malbrough and husband Errol, Holli Pellegrin; mother-in-law, Beulah Benoit.
Carl is preceded in death by his father, Carl Joseph Pellegrin, Sr.; infant son, Ross Michael Pellegrin; father-in-law, Tonis Benoit.
Carl was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and dear friend to many. Carl was an avid hunter. He worked many years as a Tech 4 with Wildlife and Fisheries. Anyone who knew Carl knew he had a strong personality with no filter, he was also loving and caring, enjoyed camping, and giving his family a hard time. Above all, he loved his family and friends dearly and spending time with them especially his favorite "t-rex". Carl left this world too soon but leaves a beautiful legacy behind. He has been reunited with his baby boy and they now rest together in the arms of their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The family would like to thank Ochsner-Kenner and staff for their love and support shown to the family.
