Remedia had such a deep and profound love for family. She carried a loving and optimistic heart into every circumstance. An adventurous soul with a fiercely independent spirit, she embraced life with courage and curiosity. Mimi will be deeply missed but her memory will remain forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
She is survived by her birth son, Tre' Lebouef; mother, Pamela Matherne; father, Shane Eschette; and brothers, Mark Eschette and Randall Thomaisee.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Carrol Murphy and Ricky Tre' Murphy; godmother, Remedia "Sissy" Broussard; and grandparents, Carrol & Remedia Matherne and Kenneth Eschette Sr. & Adele A. Jackson.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Samart Funeral Home (4511 West Park Avenue) from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A private burial will be held.
