Carl Kenneth Primrose, 81, of Hardin, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025. Born on December 30, 1943, in Cleveland, Texas, Carl lived a life characterized by love, dedication, and hard work. He served honorably in the Army, where he began his career as a mechanic, continuing to apply his skills throughout his life through opening up his own business Primrose Auto Repair. Carl was known for being a jack of all trades and a master of none, a skillful builder who enjoyed creating portable buildings, and he took great pride in teaching his grandchildren the craftsmanship that defined his life.
Carl’s personality was a tapestry woven with kindness and a sincere friendliness that made him never meet a stranger. He embodied a godly spirit and deep patriotism, always showing respect and love for those around him. His hobbies included farming and watching classic westerns, including his favorites like "Rifleman," "Lone Ranger," and films starring Tex Ritter, John Wayne, and the show "Cheyenne." His enthusiasm for life extended to his fondness for Dr. Pepper, and Blue Bell ice cream, bringing a smile to all who shared moments with him.
In addition to his extensive skills and interests, Carl and his beloved wife devoted his later years to raising their grandchildren since their teenage years, ensuring they were surrounded by love and support. He is remembered as a caring and loving figure in their lives.
Carl leaves behind his loving family, which includes his sons, Carl Lee Primrose and Brian Allen Primrose; his daughter, Annette Risch; and his brother, George James Primrose and wife Ann. He also cherished his grandchildren, Myra Clow and husband Tommy, Jenna Ritter and husband Brandon, Kenneth Primrose and wife Marie and Hope Risch. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Nina Clow, Micheal Clow, Lilah Ritter, and another great-grandchild on the way. He is also survived by his aunt, Marshalene Smith.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Otis M. Primrose and Elsie M. Rayburn; his beloved wife, Wanda Gale Primrose; and his great-granddaughter, Abby Ritter.
