Carl L. Roark Jr., age 78 of Canal Winchester, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was born July 30, 1945, in Fayetteville, WV, son of the late Carl L. Roark Sr. and Genevieve L. (Simmons) Roark, who survives. Carl will be remembered for his faith in God, traveling, golfing, enjoying sunsets, and he especially loved time spent with his family and friends. He retired from AEP with 40 years of service and he was a faithful husband to Kay for over 60 years. He was a member of the Royalton Community Church and the First Christian Church of Ruskin, Florida.
He is survived by his mother; wife, Bertha Kay (Primmer) Roark; children, Mindy Grecni, of Canal Winchester, Karl L. "Todd" Roark, of Lancaster, and Thomas E. (Misty) Roark, of Columbus; grandchildren, Richard Dean Grecni Jr, Krystal Foster, Justin (Amanda) Grecni, and Destiny Roark; great grandchildren, James, Jadelynn, Kayden, Margaret, Lenora, Jonathan, and Lucille; sister, Lona Mae Grimm, of Royalton; and many other extended family. He is preceded in death by his father; his brother, Edward L. Roark; sister, Carol Sue Roark; grandson, Dylan Grecni.
Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda with Pastor Larry Horn officiating. A private interment will be held Wednesday at Amanda Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Friends may make memorial contributions to the Royalton Community Church or to the First Christian Church of Ruskin, Florida.
