Carl David “Dave” Sorenson of Santa Fe passed away at his home on October 30, 2025. Born and raised in Lowell, Massachusetts, he served in the Navy before starting a family and moving to California.
Dave settled in Santa Fe in 1989 after falling in love with the natural beauty, rich culture and incredible art of the area. He continued his career as a real estate broker and loved to make connections with people and help them find new homes. He enjoyed making art and became an expert gardener. Dave was happiest working in his yard or conversing with loved ones and strangers alike.
He leaves behind his loving wife and partner Bonnie Sorenson, two children who live in Maine, Jason Sorenson and Sarah Sorenson-Coppi, five grandchildren, three sisters in Massachusetts, two brothers in California, many loving nieces and nephews, and countless cherished friends.
Dave was a constant optimist who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The immediate family is extremely grateful for all the expressions of love and loss. They will have a small private ceremony to celebrate his life.
