Carl Stacy Obituary

Carl was born June 4, 1944 a son of the late William and Laura Mullins Stacy.
In addition to his parents Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Toler Stacy; a granddaughter, Jessica Dawn Stacy; ten brothers and six sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory are four children, Darrin Stacy and wife Donna of Leland, NC, Darrick Stacy and wife Alberta of Hanover, WV, Robin Stacy and wife Bridgett of also Hanover, WV, and Judy "Sissy" Brewer and husband Jim "Bo" of Justice, WV; seven grandchildren, Brandy Brewer of Cyclone, WV, Cody Stacy and wife Shaunte of Leland, NC, Brent Stacy of Boerne, TX, Micah Stacy of Hanover, WV, MaKaeleigh Stacy and fiancé Jake Adkins of Man, WV, Josh Stacy of Hanover, WV and Laura Brewer and fiancé Dylan Adkins of Justic, WV; four great grandchildren, Hudson Adkins, Maverick Adkins, River Stacy and Gunner Stacy; one brother, Kermit Stacy and wife Sharon of Bluefield, WV and three sisters, Deloris Morgan of Starsburg, VA, Vaguel Church of Statesville, NC and Linda Roberts of Ikes Fork, WV.
Carl could sit for hours at a time talking about working in the coal mines and how he had started working at age 14. He worked underground and eventually went to surface mining where he operated heavy equipment and eventually became a boss. After Carl retired from the mining industry, he spent his time working for his brother, Estil, in his hardware store and helping out in the community. Carl loved spending time with his grandchildren teaching them life skills and enjoying eating at The Justonian.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 8, 2025 at 1 o'clock with two of Carls's lifelong friends, Reverend Jackie Lester and Reverend Wayne Addair, officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger. Burial will follow in the Davis Cemetery in Justice, WV. Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Stacy, Micah Sacy, Josh Stacy, Allen Roberts, Jamie Roberts, Scott Stacy and Steven Lester.
Friends may visit with the family Friday, August 8, 2025 at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger from 12 o'clock until the time of services at 1 o'clock.
