Larry "Brett" Stacy, 59, a resident of Wynne, departed this life, Monday, October 6, 2025, at his residence unexpectedly. He was born, April 21, 1966, in Newport, the son of George "Larry" and Linda Sue Prestidge Stacy.
He earned his GED and some college credits while serving in the US Army. In recent years, he worked as a Surveyor for Capital Paving in Searcy. Brett was a musician and songwriter who had several songs published in Nashville and continued to write music. He was a sports fan, particularly of the Razorbacks. He was known for making jokes and having a sense of humor, and he spent time with his dog and friends.
Brett was preceded in death by his mother: Linda Sue Stacy, one brother: Bart Stacy, and one sister: Kimberly Stacy Strickland.
Survivors include his father and stepmother: Larry and Elvetta Stacy of Forrest City, one son: Christopher Stacy of Ashtabula, Ohio, two daughters: Brittany Whittington of Ashtabula, Ohio, Kori Lauth of Ashtabula, Ohio, seven grandchildren and his constant companion (dog): Baby and many other relatives and friends.
The family will hold a memorial service later.
