Carl Robert Stricker

Carl Robert "Bob" Stricker, age 79, went peacefully to be with Jesus on Monday March 2nd, 2026. Bob was born May 15, 1946 in Mount Vernon, Ohio.

Bob proudly delivered mail for the U.S. Postal Service for 38 years. His sharp memory helped him with his O.S.U campus and Gahanna mail routes, calculate complicated math in his head and recite the alphabet both forward and backward to the amazement of everyone who knew him.

Bob spent his retirement enjoying his many hobbies: metal detecting, fishing, bird watching, searching for Bigfoot, watching The Ohio State Buckeyes, playing worship on the guitar, and spending as much time with his grandchildren as possible.

He was welcomed in heaven by his parents, grandparents, in-laws, and sister Nancy. He will be dearly and sincerely missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Darlene, his sons Darin, Brent, and Ron, daughter-in-law Tracy, his two grandchildren Roxxan and Vincent, his siblings Sharon, Becky, and Jeff, numerous nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters in-law.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 2 pm at Hayden Run Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Duvall officiating. A meal will follow in the fellowship hall. Thank you to O.R. Woodyard Funeral Services for their gracious assistance with funeral plans.
