Mr. Sykes leaves to cherish his memory: loving and devoted wife of 23 years, Marion Sykes; daughters, Victoria Sykes, Sharkarla Smith of Eudora, AR, Faniesha Smith of West Helena, AR, and a bonus daughter, Imari Pittman of Pontiac, MI; grandson, Tyler Givens of Eudora, AR; Bro. Carl was blessed to be apart of a blended family that included siblings, Marilyn Sykes, of Sherwood, AR, Calvin (Patrice) Sykes of Miami, FL, and Debra (Timothy) Turner of North Little Rock, AR, Samuel (Camellia) Hudson, Jr. of McKinney, TX, Lenard (Betty) Hudson of Greenville, MS, Delores (Armand) Hudson-Dyer of Compton, CA, Tricia Hudson of Los Angeles, CA, Alonzo (Darlene) Hudson of Los Angeles, CA, Rickey (Sharonda) Alexander of New Albany, IN, Jackie (Tracey) Robinson of Jefferson Town, KY, Melvin "Don" (Mareen) Robinson of Waterford, MI and Faye Robinson of Jacksonville, AR; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Sykes was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Hudson, Sr. and Beatrice Sykes Robinson; stepfather LeRoy Robinson, and brother, Samuel "Chief" White.

I had the Honor and Privilege of meeting Carl at my 50th birthday party. After years of hearing about this special man, I was blessed to learn in person, he was so much more. I finally got to talk with him about fishing out at SANG (Selfridge) and our favorite little fishing spots. We both had the same experience in the big fights with the bass.
Carl was a kind, thoughtful and loving person who I didn´t know long, but will remember him forever. Rest in peace, and catch the big ones.
