Carl Weissgerber, 79, of Camby, passed away Monday, August 25th, 2025. He was born April 23rd, 1946 in Buffalo, New York to his parents George Frederick and Grace (Shabtac) Weissgerber. He married Penny Rose (Vincent) Weissgerber on March 16th, 1974.

Carl is survived by his wife, Penny Weissgerber of Camby; daughter, Tracey Weissgerber of Coimbra, Portugal; son, Kurt Weissgerber (Nina) of Beaverton, Ohio; two grandchildren: Gemma and Mira Weissgerber of Beaverton, Ohio; and one sister, Susan Weissgerber of Tucson, Arizona.

Carl is preceded in death by both of his parents.

Carl, a proud graduate of Park School of Buffalo in 1964, pursued his passion for knowledge by earning both his bachelor's and master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from MIT in Boston in 1970. His career journey took him to Carrier Corporation in Indianapolis, where he worked for 15 years and exemplified dedication as a Senior Manager of Reliability, retiring for the third time in 2008. Previously, he spent 17 impactful years at Gould's Pumps in Seneca Falls, New York, as the Manager of the Engineering Products Division and played a vital role in Total Quality Management.

Beyond his professional achievements, Carl embraced the spirit of giving back as an AARP tax aide and local coordinator for the Mooresville Public Library tax-aide site. Where he also made a difference as the district coordinator for Hendricks, Morgan, Johnson, Shelby, and Hancock counties. His varied interests-ranging from tennis and biking to woodworking, model trains, cross-country skiing, genealogy, and stamp collecting-reflect a life lived with passion. Carl was cherished for his kindness, responsibility, and a sense of humor that inspired those around him.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 11 am to 12 pm on Saturday, September 6th at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville. A memorial service will be held at 12 pm following visitation at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville.
