Carla Boyd Obituary
Carla attended Lincoln High School in Vincennes and worked at Universal Scientific. She also tended bar at Union Tavern, Bud-Smalls, and the Moose Lodge. Known for her wittiness and zest for life, Carla never missed an opportunity to bring joy to those around her and cherished the time spent with family and friends.
Carla is survived by her son, David Helderman; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Seals and Jewell Bonham; her brother, David Seals; and her husband, David Boyd.
An avid card player, Carla also enjoyed caring for her plants and cats. She was an active member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, at 11:00 AM on January 9, 2025, at Wabash Presbyterian in Allendale, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carla's memory to the Vincennes Animal Shelter.
Carla's kindness, generosity, and love of life will forever be remembered by her family, friends, and all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
