Carla Fields was born August 19th, 1962 in Louisville Kentucky. Carla went to her eternal home after a long battle with breast cancer on April 23rd. Carla is a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who left this world far too soon.
Carla was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her. Her sense of humor, infectious laughter, and ability to bring joy to any room made her truly unforgettable. Whether she was cracking a joke, dancing to her favorite songs, or simply enjoying the company of loved ones, Carla knew how to make life feel lighter.
She had a love for music that resonated through her spirit, a radiant smile that was a reflection of her soul, and she was happiest when surrounded by her family—especially her nieces and nephews, whom she adored beyond measure. Carla was preceded in death by her father, whom she loved dearly and missed every day. Their bond was strong, and we take comfort in knowing they are now reunited. She is survived by her loving mother, Betty Fields; Her brother Troy Dean Fields (Shirl); Her best friend Chuck Hernandez; Her cousin Terri Waits and her cherished nieces and nephews, who were the joy of her life: Trevor Fields (Ruby), Cora Fields, Jolee Fields, June Fields, and Jasper Fields. Carla also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Though Carla’s physical presence is no longer with us, the memories she created and the joy she shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, warmth, and love—a true testament to the vibrant soul she was. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we rejoice in knowing that Carla is now in Heaven, free from pain and embraced by eternal peace.
She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always cherished.
