Carla Sue Centers Gilvin, wife of Michael Gilvin, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, KY. She was a 76 year old born in Montgomery County, KY to the late Herbert and Dorothy King Centers, a former sales associate at Wal-Mart and member of the Christian Faith.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Gilvin; a daughter, Katherine Sue Plowman (Wayne); a grandson, Gary Plowman Jr. (Valerie); 4 great grandchildren, Madison Plowman, Taylor Plowman, Tate Ratliff and Tanner Ratliff; 6 brothers, Ronald Wayne Centers (Ruby), Herbert Lowell Centers (Shirley), James Captain Centers (Nelly), Randy Lee Centers, Clark Centers (Connie) and Sidney Harold Centers (Rachel); a sister, Janey Smith (James); along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carla was preceded in death by a brother, Alan Clay Centers; and a sister, Virginia Rose Reed.
Her funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals, Willie Gordon presiding with burial to follow in Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Clark Centers, Steven Smith, Michael Smith, Tanner Ratliff, Tare Ratliff, and Gary Plowman Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Plowman, Rudy Beair and Sid Centers.
Arrangements are placed in the care of Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals.
