Carla Yvonne (Fishback) Jacobs, 61, passed from this life on October 7, 2022 at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh, IN with her family, friends and coworkers by her side. Carla was born on October 5, 1961 in Corbin, KY to Charles M. and Burnette "Bernie" Fishback.
She married Glenn Jacobs on April 17, 2000 and he survives. Carla is also survived by a son, Michael (Ashley) French, daughter-in-law, Rebecca Fishback; grandchildren, Madison and Morgan Strong, Mason French, and Elana and Liam Fishback; brothers, Glenn (Desi) Fishback, James (Jessica) Fishback and David Fishback; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kim and Charles Jacobs and Patsy and Tom D'Amico and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Carla was preceded in death by her Granny Whitehead, her father, Charles "Chuck" Fishback and her son, Dustin Matthew Fishback.
Carla was a member of Crossville Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and doing crafts. She was a graduate of Carmi High School in 1979 and went on to attend Wabash Valley College in Mt Carmel. Carla was Qualified Medical Assistant and worked for Caregiver Long-Term Care Services. Carla gave the ultimate gift as she was an organ and tissue donor.
Funeral Services for Carla (Fishback) Jacobs, 61, of Crossville will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will follow in Stokes Chapel Cemetery in Crossville. Friends and family may visit from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carla's memory to Caregiver Long-term Care Services and will accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi
