Carla B. Reithmayr, age 72, of Paola, Kansas, passed away at home on October 10th, 2023. She was born on November 8, 1950, in Englewood, New Jersey, the daughter of Howard and Brittian (Meyer) Roth. Carla grew up there, graduated from Dumont High School in 1968, and later attended Bergen Pines Nursing School where she received her degree in nursing. She worked as a LPN in various nursing homes for 40 to 45 years.
Carla was united in marriage to Peter Reithmayr on October 25, 1969, in Cresskill, New Jersey. Together they have lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and moved to Kansas 23 years ago where they settled in Rural Paola.
She enjoyed spending time with her husband, traveling, going to their lake house in New York, and cooking. She also enjoyed receiving fresh cut flowers and loved their German Shorthaired Pointers.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Surviving Carla is her husband, Peter, of the home; son Peter Carl Reithmayr, of Paola; daughter Carrie Kyle, of Ft. Myers, Florida; brother Charles Roth of, Virginia; and 3 grandchildren, Christopher, Dallas and Lilly. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
