Carla Denise Turkin passed away on April 17, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on April 30, 1961, in Topeka, Kansas, she embraced life with a spirit full of love and joy that will forever resonate with those who knew her.
Carla dedicated her life as a devoted homemaker, cultivating a warm and nurturing environment for her family. She was an embodiment of kindness, sharing a profound love for music, gardening, and the beauty of nature. Her passion for going fishing brought her much joy, but it was the cherished moments spent with her family that were the true highlights of her life.
Her legacy, characterized by unwavering love and support for her family, will carry on in the hearts of her loved ones. She is survived by her sons, Jayme (April) and Damon (Ashly) Turkin; her grandchildren, including Trenton V, Cheyenne M, Daylon J, and Daymian A Turkin; sister, Brenda Lyden (Brad) and former spouse, Rick Turkin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Helen Garner; brother, Carl Garner and grandsons, Colt Turkin, Dominic Turkin and Cash Turkin.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, KS 66604. Her family will greet friends and relatives one hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest at Rochester Cemetery.
Though the world feels a little dimmer without her presence, Carla's legacy of love will forever shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
