Carlene R. Joas, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids. On May 15, 1956, Carlene Rebecca was born in Albany, New York. After high school, Carlene had been employed at a few different places, but ended up bartending and that was a job she loved the most. She had married David L. Joas in Brainard, New York and many years later they made their way to Wisconsin. Carlene loved to read and cook, and was known by her grandchildren for her incredible burgers. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved her dog Peanut.
Carlene was a caring and loving person, who put others before herself and would give them the world if they asked and will be greatly missed by her daughter, Toni-Marie (Richard) White; her son, Steven (Tina) Turner; grandchildren: Mariah (Rio) Joas, Izabella (Logan) Dahlquist, Trinity (Jamie) Vilbaum, Gabriella (Julian Golla) Turner, and Aleesha Pittz; and many more grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her partner, Michael Bronk; as well as other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Maryann VanBramer; her husband, David L. Joas; her in-laws: Douglas and Margaret Joas; her sister-in-law, Victoria Thoma; and her brother-in-law, Douglas Joas.
Private Graveside Services will be held in the Spring of 2025 at St. Mary Cemetery in Chilton, Wisconsin.
