Yorktown, Va. – Carleton Paige Forrest went to be with his lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
He was born on October 4, 1934 in Seaford, Virginia and was a lifelong resident of York County, Va. He graduated from Poquoson High Scholl in 1954 where he met the love of his life, Doloris. He spent 10 years as a Navy reservist and worked 45 years as a brick mason. He married Doloris in 1956 and were together until her death in November 2000.
Carleton is preceded in death by his wife Doloris, father Raymond Forrest and mother Marie Forrest, brothers Raymond Spencer Forrest and Marshall Forrest. He is survived by his children Greg Forrest (Dana) and Kimberly Drewry (Wayne), Grandchildren, Paige Williams (Cody), Courtney Drewry and Alexis Holland (Graham) and great grandchild Waylon Williams. He is also survived by his sisters Jackie Robinson and Mary Virginia Boyd (Dickie).
There will be a celebration of life on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 11:00 am in Zion United Methodist Church, 2109 Seaford Road, Seaford. Burial will follow in the church Cemetery. A reception will follow the burial in the church social hall.
The family would like to thank all the care givers to Carleton at home and at Spring Arbor. Memorial may be made to the Zion United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 140, Seaford, Va. 23696. Arrangements are by Amory Funeral Home, Grafton, Va.
