In Loving Memory of Carleton Erick McCowinOctober 15, 1967 - June 25, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, Carleton Erick McCowin, who departed this life on June 25, 2025. Born in Washington, D.C. on October 15, 1967, Carleton was the cherished son of the late Wilbert Andrew McCowin and Susie Virginia Lucas.
A proud graduate of high school, Carleton went on to join the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 26 as an apprentice, ultimately becoming a Master Electrician with Dynalectric in Washington, D.C. Over the course of his career, he dedicated more than 30 years of loyal service to IBEW, earning the respect of his colleagues and community alike.
Carleton's passions extended far beyond his work. He had an unwavering love for barbecuing, motorcycle riding, and automobiles, and was an enthusiastic supporter of all Washington, D.C. sports teams. He was also a proud member of the Road Wolves Motorcycle Club, where his camaraderie and adventurous spirit were well-known.
He is survived by his loving children, Sayo Erick McCowin and his spouse Samantha Epstein, and Sydney McCowin; his brother Michael McCowin; and a host of extended family, friends, and colleagues who will miss his strength, humor, and generous heart.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Lee Funeral Home, Clinton, MD. All who knew and loved Carleton are invited to attend, share memories, and honor his remarkable life.

Carleton Erick McCowin will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
