Carlis Diana Lawless

Carlis "Diana" Lawless, wife, mother, grandmother "Mammy", 72, passed away Friday, September 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Diana was born to the late Carl and Margaret (Hagan) Blackburn in Nelson Co., KY. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Margaret "Wawa" Ruble, and brother, James "Jimbo" Blackburn. Diana is survived by her husband of 56 years, David Lawless, Sr.; children, Sheila Blanford, Shirley Hoffman, David Lawless II (Melissa), and Aaron Lawless (Kelli); brothers; Carl Blackburn (Charlotte), and Mike Blackburn (Vanessa); sister, Phyllis Shadowens (Ray), and Sharon Lemus; grandchildren, Judy Cooke (Paul), Kaylee Banister, Andrew Lawless, Luke Lawless, and Jake Lawless; great-grandchildren, Maddie, Noelle, and Addison Cooke, and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial at Bethany Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, and again 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Owen Funeral Home.
