With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved child, Carlos Rafael Alvarez, who was taken from us too soon on 01/20/2025 at the tender age of 18. He was a star athlete on the football field. He brought immeasurable joy and light into our lives with his kind heart, radiant smile, and boundless curiosity.
Carlos Rafael Alvarez was born on 05/22/2006 to Celia Ortiz and Carlos Alvarez in Las Vegas Nevada. After Carlos graduated from Rancho high school in 2024, he went on to study business and play football at Briar Cliff University in Iowa. He is survived by his mother Celia Ortiz, his "Pops" Eduardo Ortiz, his dad, Carlos Alvarez, his stepmother Adriana Alvarez, three sisters, Kimberly,Elaina and Sophia Alvarez, and two brothers, Alli Ortiz and Rafael Lazaro.
Carlos was a man of integrity, kindness, generosity, and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He will always be remembered for his smile and willingness to go the extra mile for the people he loved.
From the moment he came into our lives, Carlos filled our hearts with immeasurable love and laughter. With each passing year, he blossomed into a remarkable individual, achieving big and small milestones, especially in the classroom. From his first day of school to his graduation, he was dedicated to his studies and football and still had the time to help others.
He also always made time for his sisters and brothers and our family. I'll treasure all those nights spent by the bonfire, movie and game nights and football Sunday as a family.
We would like to invite you to a service to celebrating Carlos life on January 30, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary, 6500 E Bell Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85254. A visitation will immediately follow the service.
