Benavides, Texas BAZAN On July 22, 2025 our beloved cowboy, husband, father, brother and friend, Carlos A. Bazan, age 69, rode off into the sunset for eternal rest with his Lord and Savior. Carlos was born in Alice, Texas on November 5, 1955 to Abraham and Dolores Bazan of Benavides, TX. He was a graduate of Atlee Parr High School, Class of 1974 where he excelled in basketball and football. Carlos was known for being friendly, outgoing, and an outstanding team roper and member of the PRCA, where he made many wonderful memories and lifelong friends. His professional career included jobs in Oil & Gas, Ranching and Landman for American Electric Power (AEP) where he earned the respect of all his peers for being compassionate and dedicated. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abraham R. and Maria Dolores Bazan; his sister, Irma (†Juan) Ruiz and two brothers-in-law, Homero Almaraz and Reynaldo Perez.
