It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved son Carlos “CJ” Valdez Jr. from Rowe, NM, who left to his heavenly home on July 24th at the age of 18. CJ’s presence could light up a room and his charm had a way of softening even the hardest of days. Being near him felt like standing in sunlight—bright, warm, and full of ease. He carried that light everywhere he went and if you had the blessing of knowing him, you would know exactly what that felt like. CJ lived his life full of strength, resilience, and a heart full of love. He loved God with his whole heart, held his family close, and found joy in every experience. Whether he was playing video games or cracking jokes, he embraced life fully—with spirit, laughter, and intention. He is survived by his loving parents, Carlos and Francine, sisters, Carlirose (Mike) and Frankie Rose, Grandmothers Rose Valdez and Roseann Flores, and a large extended family, along with countless friends who will forever carry his memory. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Richard Valdez, Sr. and Frankie Encinias.
Funeral to be held on Saturday, Aug 2, 2025 10:00 A.M at Blaze Christian Fellowship, 6 Bisbee Ct, Santa Fe, NM. Followed by an internment at Rowe cemetery.
