RICHMOND, Ind. – Carlos Doolin Jr., age 57, of Richmond, Indiana, died Friday, November 5, 2021, at Reid Health and is now home with his Lord and Savior.
Born November 26, 1963, in Arjay, Kentucky, to Carlos and Easter Wagner Doolin Sr., Carlos lived in Richmond most of his life. He was a lifelong mechanic. Carlos was also formerly employed at Winandy Greenhouse Company, Inc. in Richmond and Ford Motor Company in Connersville. He was a member of the Temple of God Church. Carlos enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Carlos had a big heart. He didn't know a stranger and would help anyone in need.
Survivors include his children, Boony, Joseph, Nicki, Carlos Daniel, and Steven Doolin; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Rev. Lucille (Phillip) Alvey of Richmond; brother, Phillip Doolin of Richmond; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Brantlee; parents; brother, Clifford Doolin; paternal and maternal grandparents; nephew, William Charlie; great-niece, Sylina Mason; and longtime love and friend, Robin Barnes.
Visitation for Carlos Doolin Jr. will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Temple of God Church, 1005 Hunt Street, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Temple of God Church with his sister, Rev. Lucille Alvey, and Pastor William Lewellen officiating. Burial will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery, New Paris. Arrangements are being handled by Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
