Carlos P. Landeros was born August 12, 1931 in Los Angeles, California, and passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024 at home, with his daughters and faithful dog, Molly.
Dad served in the US Navy on the USS O'Brien from June 1951-June 1955. Carlos was a life long American Legion member in Greenfield, Post 635 and involved with the Memorial Hall as past Board Member. As a former Greenfield Little League coach, Carlos had the first team to ever win the District 9 championship in the 1970's. Carlos was employed with the Wiley's out on Arroyo Seco Road for over 20 years, where he formed many friendships and loved all the Wiley children as his own. Dad's past times included traveling with the RV Tumbleweed Club to many places. He also loved to do yard work and it gave him a sense of pride cleaning the block on 6th St in Greenfield.
Carlos is survived by his daughters, Delia and Julie; son, Gabriel; daughter in law, Dora; grandchildren, Macario III, Carlos, Benjamin (Ruby), Kenny (Julia), Karly (Tim), Korey (Angel); great grandchildren, Jasmine, Johnny, Sophia, Carlos, Alize, Maryjane. Deacon, Shelby; siblings, Dolores, Helen, George, Rachel. Dad was loved by many nieces and nephews and great friends along the way; his mustache was a huge part of his personality and if you ever needed to find out if you knew my Dad or not I'd say 'He's that man that walks bow-legged and has that cool mustache!' He was preceded in death by his wife, Trini in 2011; son-in-law, Tom Heess in 2013, son-in-law, Macario Venegas II in 2015.
Visitation and Rosary will begin at 9 am, Monday, August 12, 2024 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Greenfield. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 am with burial at the Greenfield Cemetery District.
