On September 25, 2022 Carlos Francisco Marin passed away following an extended illness at the age of 67.
Carlos was born on October 18,1955 in Havana, Cuba to Maria Del Carmen Hernandez and Hector Marin. Although having a rough childhood filled with kidney trouble and multiple hospitalizations, Carlos prevailed and set his mind on studying medicine. After graduating high school at Coral Gables High he attended Miami Dade College and eventually enrolled and graduated from medical school, Central Del Este in the Dominican Republic in 1981. He quickly obtained a residency in Anesthesiology at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ and graduated as an Anesthesiologist in 1984. He met his wife Jean Marin while in New Jersey and they married and moved to Florida to begin their life together and he began his 35 year career as an anesthesiologist.
Carlos enjoyed his profession and was a master at putting his patients at ease with his quick sense of humor and professionalism. Carlos also enjoyed vacationing with his family, especially taking his daughter to Disneyland. He enjoyed his beloved pet dogs and treated them as very special family members.
Carlos is survived by his spouse Jean Marin and mother Maria Marin. He was predeceased by his daughter Christina Marin, his father Hector Marin and his brothers Hector and William Marin. Carlos has many dear friends and extended family members who will always remember him, love him and miss him.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday October 6, 2022 at 9 AM at Forest Hills followed by a mass at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church at 11 AM.

I'm still missing him today....he was such a gem. I miss his smiling face. I miss our little chats. I still look for him on Tuesdays..... Just miss him. He was a good friend.

Carlos used to come into the Cleveland Clinic Outpatient lab where I worked in Palm City. I was so used to him coming in on Tuesdays, that when he hadn't been coming, I knew something was wrong. We used to sit and chat anytime we were busy. With everything that was going on with him, he still had such a positive outlook on life. I will miss his smile... I will miss our chats...... I will miss his stories.....such a wonderful wonderful man and friend to all that knew him. He was definitely blessed and loved his family more than anything. Fly high Carlos.... fly high. You will certainly be missed and remembered.

I use to work with Dr Marin at Raulerson Hospital. I enjoyed his upbeat personality and humor. He was missed when he left. His pride and joy was his daughter, he never stopped talking about her. So sorry for your loss.
