Carlos Fernando Quintana, Sr., 46, of Cottondale, Florida, passed away, Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Bay Medical Center, Panama City, Florida.
Carlos was a loving son, father, and friend. He was a person that if you ever ask anyone about him, they will tell you he was a kind loving soul who would give his shirt off his back. He enjoyed spending time, more than anything, with his only son. Some of the hobbies he loved were riding side by sides, riding boats, jet skis, working on his little farm, and cooking for his family and friends. He was a "jack of all trades". He was born in Puerto Rico; moved to Belle Glade, FL at a young age and was raised there most of his life; He then found his way to Chipley, FL and began to make a home. Not too long after, his girlfriend Samari and his son Carlos Quintana, Jr. followed him to Chipley; they spent most of their time doing everything together; they were inseparable. If one went the other followed. He was a magnificent father and friend. Carlos Quintana, Sr. words cannot describe such a wonderful man.
Preceded in death by his sister Shelia Rosales.
He is survived by mother and father Gloria & Cristobal Pichs, son Carlos Quintana, Jr. (Olivia Martin), girlfriend Samari Ayala, brother Fernando C. Quintana, two sisters Katty Quintana, Zulma Allen (Dan), special niece and nephews Vanessa, Payton, Justin, Wyatt and other nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held 7 p.m. (CDT), Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at the Chapel of James & Lipford Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Moore officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home 6 p.m. until the time of the service.
A time of visitation for family and friends will also be held 11 a.m. (EDT), Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Glades Funeral Chapel 1040 N. Main Street, Belle Glade, Florida 33430 with Dan Allen officiating. The burial will follow at Foreverglades Cemetery, with Glades Funeral Chapel directing.
