With profound sadness, the family of Carlos Doug Webb, affectionately known to us all as Doug, announces his passing on May 5, 2025, at the age of 37.
Doug was born on July 20, 1987, in the community of Robbins, Tennessee to the late Jack Webb and Annie Lackey. He is preceded in death by his father Jack Webb, his mother Annie Lackey, his grandparents Harold Lackey and Pauline Grider Lackey, and his brother Michael James Miller. Doug is also preceded in death by a very special man he also called dad, Victor Voiles III.
Doug is survived by his two cherished daughters, LoraLee Webb and Serenity Webb; his brother, Jack Webb and wife Christy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews: Little Jack Webb, Gage Myers, Cheyenne Webb, Peyton Myers, Jasmine Webb, Braxton Webb, Bentlee Webb, Nevaeh Webb, and Joseph Webb; aunt, Teresa Kay; uncles, David Lackey and Patrick Lackey.
Doug also leaves behind special family members, Jen James and her husband Paul, along with many other beloved relatives and dear friends.
Doug was deeply loved by everyone who knew him. He will be remembered for his boundless humor, quick wit, generous heart, and love for the outdoors. Doug brought joy and laughter wherever he went, lighting up even the darkest of rooms.
Today, we gather not only in grief but also in gratitude for the life of Doug. His presence was truly a gift to all who knew him.
Doug found peace and joy in the simplest things – whether hunting, fishing, digging for ginseng, or four-wheeling through the woods. He felt closest to the heart of God in the beauty of the outdoors. These moments weren't just hobbies – they were sacred to him.
Doug was a man of many virtues, but if we were to name those that truly defined him, they would be his humor, courage, and loyalty. His humor was a balm to weary souls. His courage shined brightest in his final days, facing illness with a steadfastness that inspired us all. Even in suffering, he was a light to those around him.
So, as we say goodbye to Doug today, let us not be overcome by sorrow. Instead, let us hold on to all the memories we share, celebrate his life with stories of his laughter, and carry forward the love he gave so freely. Let us find peace in knowing that Doug is now resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ – free from pain, full of joy, and smiling down on us all from the glory of Heaven.
Matthew 25:23: "Well done, good and faithful servant; enter into the joy of your Lord."
