Carlota Buhain Obituary
Born November 17, 1941 in Cavite, Philippines to her parents Jose and Fanny Torres. In her youth she attended Assumption then later the University of Santo Tomas. Subsequently she moved to the United States where she married her husband Wilfrido Buhain in New York. She then was a caring loving mother to Ronald and Edgar (who unfortunately passed away several years prior).
Lottie selflessly gave so much time, energy, and passion to numerous Filipino organizations for most of her life. Especially dear to her heart was Feed the Hungry, a charitable organization dedicated to assisting needy children and families in the Philippines, for which she served as chairperson for fourteen years.
Lottie was equally devoted to her friends and family. Whether it was a luncheon with the ladies, ballroom dancing, or regular mahjong games, Lottie always found a way to spend time with everyone.
Lottie is survived by her husband Willie, her son Ron, and several siblings Alice, Pepito, Fred, Noling, Hermie, Ollie, and Tony.
A Funeral Mass and graveside service in memory of Carlota Buhain will be held on October 23, 2024 at 1 PM. The Funeral Mass will be livetreamed for those unable to attend in person. Please use the link below, click on Welcome, then Funerals. holyspiritchurch.us
