Trinidad Zacarias Pavon, 79, of Annandale, Virginia, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025. He was the cherished husband of Emma Ascencio, with whom he celebrated 53 beautiful years of marriage.
Born on April 20, 1946, in El Salvador to the late Isidora Pavon and Antonio Ventura, Trinidad spent his childhood in the municipality of San Alejo, La Union, just a stone's throw away from Emma's hometown. In the mid-1970s, they relocated to the United States, where they built a loving family in Virginia. Trinidad began his career in the restaurant industry, dedicating ten years to that field before transitioning to a long and fulfilling career in construction.
Trinidad is survived by his devoted wife, Emma, his steadfast partner in both life and faith. He leaves behind his beloved children: Rose, Emma, and Adan, who continue to uphold his legacy of family and faith. A proud grandfather, he cherished his seven grandchildren and was overjoyed to welcome his great-grandson last fall. He was preceded in death by his parents and his two younger brothers, Pedro and Pablo.
Family time was precious to Trinidad, especially moments spent with his grandchildren, who lovingly referred to him as "Papi Trine." His life was a shining example of selflessness, kindness, grace, and humility. An "honorary" father and grandfather to many, Trinidad's journey was a testament to the power of faith, family, and purpose. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
All who were touched by his life are invited to join us in celebrating his memory.
Immediately following the burial at El Cuscatleco Restaurant, 3819 Mt. Vernon Ave., Alexandria, VA 22305
