Ruth Socorro Pavon

Ruth Socorro Renazco Pavon, 75, of Concord, California, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025.

Born on March 2, 1950, in Managua, Nicaragua, Ruth graduated from Clerical Administration School in 1966 at the age of 16. In the United States, she built a meaningful career as a Certified Nurse Assistant and also worked as a self-employed caregiver. Caring for others was her calling, and she found deep joy in serving seniors and her community.

Ruth was proudly married to her beloved husband, Colonel Jorge Alfonso Pavon, for over 55 years. Together, they built a life centered on family, love, and tradition. She is survived by her four children; Guillermo, Juan, Gemma, and Maria Pavon, and her cherished grandchildren; Miguel and Mia.

She will be remembered for her zest for life, her love of cooking, her laughter, and her strong Nicaraguan roots. Ruth had a gift for making others feel welcome, a spirit of creativity, and an unforgettable sense of humor. She lived her faith as a devoted Catholic, celebrating La Purísima Concepción, and passed down the values of resilience, love, and service to her family and community.

Her family lovingly recalls her joyful expressions, such as "Fa, Fa Fa", which she used when completing a dish or project quickly and with flair. She was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, sharing meals, music, and laughter.

A Viewing will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 1:00PM followed by a Chapel Blessing at 1:30PM at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel, 4125 Clayton Road, Concord, CA 94521. A Reception is to follow at the family's home.
