Carlton Wayne Cottoner, best known as “Corky”, departed this earthly life to go to his heavenly home on Saturday, 13 July 2024. Corky was the proud son of Pastor Robert L. and Jonell C Cottoner. Corky was the fourth oldest of his six siblings, Carla A. Cottoner, Herman M Cottoner, Keith L. Cottoner (deceased), Dwayne T. Cottoner, and Jason L. Cottoner.
Personality: Corky’s love was about family, friends, and people. He demonstrated the love of God in his actions and words. He treated everyone he met the same; with kindness, a gentle heart, a display of love and encouragement. Corky did not meet a stranger. He would talk to and carry on a conversation with everyone he met. Corky was a character. He enjoyed having fun, laughing, and joking. He would remind everyone that he is “CORKY” and will always be “CORKY”

Education: He attended West Hopkin High School.
Employment: Corky was a hard worker. He was an employee of the Cottoner Lawn Care Business for many years.
Church: Corky professed a relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at a very early age becoming a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He later in life united with Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

(Shavonne) Jones; Arayah (DeQane) Campbell; LaNina Cottoner, KaLynn, JaNelle, and Trinity Cottoner; Great Nieces and Nephews: Jeremiah, Ayanna, Naimah, and Sage (Joshua and Shavonne) Jones, Kyla, Stella, Charlotte (Keith and Brittany) Cottoner; Journey and Jordan (Arayah and DeQane) Campbell; cousin, Joslyn Farrow; A host of family and friends.
