Carlton Bobby Ferrell

Carlton Bobby Ferrell, affectionately known as Bobby, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 5, 2025, in Newport News, VA, at the age of 90. Born on July 21, 1934, in Johnson County, NC, Bobby lived a long and fulfilling life surrounded by family and friends who cherished him deeply.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, William and Essie Ferrell, his son Wayne, his brothers T.A. and David, and his sister Hazel.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 68 years, Doris Ferrell, who stood by his side through life's many seasons. Bobby leaves behind a loving family, including his son Bobby and daughter Bonnie Young and her husband Rob. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Cindy Ferrell. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Brooke, Phillip D. Lindsay, Alex Lindsay, Jessica, Sandy, Kimberly Ferrell, Michael Howard, Danielle Anthony, and Katie McBride. Additionally, Bobby was blessed with great-grandchild Ja'Niya and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom he held dear. Bobby's memory will also be cherished by his three sisters, Ruby Pierce (Leon), Joyce Hodge, and Faye Pate, who remain to celebrate his life and the joyful moments they shared.
Bobby lived a long life and will be missed by all who knew him. He will be remembered and memories of his love will be cherished by his family, whom he loved very much.
A celebration of Bobby's life will be held by the family in June, with the date to be determined. His family and friends will gather to honor the warmth and love he brought to their lives.
