Carlton Johnson Jackson, affectionately known to family and friends as Man, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. He was born in Searcy on August 25, 1989. Man attended the Sunshine School since the age of 5 and had participated in the Special Olympics since then where he developed many life long friendships. His contagious smile and loving personality was infectious. Carlton was employed with New Hope Industries in Searcy. He enjoyed being with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Holidays were a special time for Carlton. He was surrounded by family and food. Man loved to eat; McDonalds, Popeyes, Pizza Hut and Mexican food were among his favorites. He also found joy in music by N'Sync and Michael Jackson and loved singing along. If he called you "Punk" that meant he loved you. Carlton was loved by so many and had impacted countless lives along the way. His presence will truly be missed but we know he is now rejoicing in heaven.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his siblings, Katillia Jones (Levi), Jalisa Jackson (Shaquille), Chris Skelton (Kami) and Travan Taylor (Latisha); nieces and nephews, Na'Shawn Jackson, Malaya Jackson, Corlionn Hardy, Chris Skelton, Jr., Kyrah Skelton, Kamiya Skelton, Carter Skelton, Cashus Taylor, A'Laya Taylor, Omari Taylor and Cameron Turner; best friends, Morgan Baxter, Tyler Brown, Gregory Stewart and Robbie Graves as well as numerous aunts, uncles and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mama, Kathy Jackson; sister, Lashay Young; brother, Curtis Turner; grandparents, James L. and Ella B. Jackson, Josie Taylor and Carlton Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Carlton's honor can be made to The Sunshine School at P.O. Box 831 Searcy, AR. 72145.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Searcy with visitation to begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Gum Springs Cemetery in Searcy.
