Carmela Giberson- Nardone, 78, of W. Wyoming, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026, in Highland Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Exeter, PA.
Carmela was born in New York, NY, to the late Antonio and Mary Boccaccini Bucciero.
She graduated from W. Wyoming High School in 1964 and went on to work multiple jobs until settling into her career as a Bank Teller for Luzerne Bank, where she worked until her retirement. Although she held many roles, her most treasured was being a mom, wife and homemaker-always selflessly supporting everyone around her.
In addition to her parents, Carmela is preceded in death by her first husband, Delmer Giberson.
Carmela is survived by her beloved husband Robert Nardone, her son, Scott (and Lynette) Giberson; grandson, Payton Giberson; step-son, Mario (and Piper) Nardone and children, Pepper and Santino.
The family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the nurses and support staff of Highland Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing for the exceptional care and compassion they gave to Carmela and her family.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Carmela at St. Anthony of Padua Church of Corpus Christi Parish (St. Anthony's), 224 Memorial Street, Exeter on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 12:30 PM, Msgr. John Sempa officiant.
Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Saturday from 11 AM to the time of service at St. Anthony of Padua Church of Corpus Christi Parish, 224 Memorial Street, Exeter.
Arrangements are entrusted to Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Wyoming, PA.
