Carmella Pagley, 93, of Union Township passed away the evening of July 19, 2025 at Haven Convalescent Home.
Born in Midland, PA on February 9, 1932, Carmella was the daughter of the late James and Amelia Gentile Crappio.
On October 19, 1957 Carmella married her beloved husband, Donald R. Pagley. Don preceded her in death on November 2, 2012.
Carmella had worked for over forty years as a Registered Nurse at St. Francis Hospital as the Director of the Operating Room and Short Stay Department.
Carmella was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Mary's Church. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and going to the beach and spending time at the family camp. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Carmella's greatest joy was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Carmella is survived by her son, Donald Pagley and his wife, Lucy, her two sisters, Vincenza Cox and Amelia Blinn, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and her two nephews that she raised as her own, Chuck Retort and David Retort.
In addition to her parents and husband, Carmella was preceded in death by an infant brother, her brother, Domenick Crappio, her sister, Mary Morgan, her niece and nephew that she also help raise, Debbie Retort and Joe Retort.
Visitation will be on Sunday 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home on Monday at 10:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish, St. Vitus Church. Father Aaron Kriss will officiate.
Entombment will be in Parkside Mausoleum.
