Carmen Turull, age 73 of Middletown, OH passed away after bravely living as a heart warrior for 10 years on February 5, 2025 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. Carmen was born in Middletown, OH to Santa (Arce) Turull and the late Angel Emilio Turull, graduated from Valley View High School, class of 1970 and received her Bachelor's Degree from Moorehead State University.
Carmen was passionate about family and cherished her Puerto Rican heritage, she was a faithful caregiver and selfless friend, she found joy in her fur babies and she expressed her great creativity, and her love, through food and art. She was an avid teacher and worked as an educator in Spain, Puerto Rico, and retired from Lakota East where she taught Spanish for 27 years, receiving a Teacher of the Year award and admiration from her colleagues and students.
Along with her father, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Cecilia Schultheiss, her brother in laws Karl Schultheiss and Chuck Crooks, her niece Michelle Turull and nephew Mitchel Turull and great nephew Mycah Turull. She is survived by her mother Santa Turull, her siblings Belen (Jim) Fry, Gladys (Dave) Hill, Roberto (Sandy) Turull, Marcos (Jeana) Turull, 11 nieces and nephews, 29 great nieces and nephews, 6 second great nieces and nephews, extended family members and lifelong friends who will miss her dearly.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 10am-12pm at Carpenters House Baptist Church, 93 Worthington Dr. Germantown, OH 45327. Funeral Services will begin at noon, with burial immediately following at Germantown Union Cemetery. After burial there will be a meal for the family at the church. Funeral services will be live streamed on YouTube@CHBC-Germantown.
