Carol M. Anderson was born on July 12, 1953, to Edward "Ed" and Corrie Mae Mills of Bonneau, South Carolina. In life she was a Wife, Mama, Sister, Daughter, Aunt, Niece, Friend, Nurse, and most important to her, a Gigi.
She had incredible faith in the Lord, and took every opportunity to spread God's love. She enjoyed crocheting, arts and crafts, reading, fishing, watching the Hallmark Channel, and Mr. Kenny Rogers. She forced her cynical daughter Nancy to watch Hallmark Channel every chance she could in the hopes that Nancy would believe in romance, and would one day find the kind of love that Carol found with Nancy's father. The love between Harold and Carol was not perfect, but it was true and loyal, for better and for worse, and filled with life's adventures, laughter and tears for more than fifty years.
She enjoyed flowers of all types, but roses were her favorite. Though she did not have a green thumb herself, she passed her love of flowers to her son Michael who learned to grow beautiful flowers so his mother would always have Roses. She enjoyed touring Nurseries with Michael and pointing to all the beautiful flowers she wanted him to grow for her.
Carol was an amazing nurse who served in the ER for almost three decades. She received the Nurse of the Year award on several occasions. Her IV insertion skills were legendary. She was often called upon by fellow nurses to find difficult veins. She was renowned for teaching many young nurses the skill of finding difficult veins. Once, her son Eddie was in the Hospital and the nurse stuck him one too many times. He demanded the nurse go to the lobby and get his Mama to run the IV, which she did.
In life, she was predeceased by her Mother Corrie Mae Mills, her Brothers Edward "Eddie" Mills and Kenneth "Greg" Brice, and her precious granddaughter Kaylee Anderson.
She leaves behind her Husband William "Harold" Anderson, daughter Nancy L. Anderson, son William "Eddie" Anderson, son Michael J. Anderson and his husband Shawn Pitman-Anderson, and the apple of her eye, her grandson, William "Carter" Anderson, all of Conway, South Carolina.
She also leaves behind her father, Edward "Ed" Mills, sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Marion Cooper, brothers Kenny Mills, Johnny Mills, and brother and sister-in-law Reid Brice and Sonya Brice of Bonneau, South Carolina; her stepmom, Betty Mills, who she called Mama, also went to be with her Lord and Savior one hour after Carol passed away. In addition, she leaves behind many nieces and nephews that loved their "Aunt Carol" including two very special nieces Debbie Anderson and Sandy Hursey of Conway. They, along with their sisters, Donna and Cathy meant the world to her. Carol leaves behind many other family members, loved ones, and friends.
