Carol Louise Applegate, Age 67, of Tollesboro, Kentucky passed away at her home Sunday December 29, 2024 after an extended illness. Carol was born in Lexington, Kentucky August 30, 1957 to the late Carl and Louise Gallagher Lawrence.
Carol was a homemaker. Carol attended college and received her Associates degree in Arts. She loved to do drawings and write poems in her spare time. Most of all she loved her family.
Preceded her in death beside her parents was a sister- Emma Jean White, brothers- Odfrey Glenmore (Buster) Riggs, Robert Riggs, Billy Riggs, James Elwood Riggs Jr., Harold Riggs, William Riggs, and George Riggs.
Left to cherish Carol's memories is a daughter- Marie L. (Taylorlane M.) Bowles of Bucyrus, Ohio.
Son- Jeremiah Mullikin of Virginia.
Grandchildren- Jackson Mullikin, and Charlotte Mullikin, James Robert Applegate, and Riona Mae Royal.
Three sisters- Juanita Poe, Thelma Tune, and Hazel Grigson Egleston.
One brother- Fred Riggs. Several nieces, nephews, and friends who also will mourn her passing.
At the family's request there will be no services at this time for Carol Louise Applegate. A Memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
