Carol Ann Berka

Carol Ann Berka, 77, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2022. Carol was a strong and loving person. She believed in miracles and never giving up. Carol was strong willed and beautifully stubborn, always resilient to life's hardships. She put others before herself always. Her children know unconditional love because of how they were raised by Carol. She was kind and humble. Carol was an artist and florist who loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. She loved being surrounded by nature and listening to the birds as well as the sounds of the ocean. Carol was faithful, spiritual, and acknowledged as the most perfect of mothers. She was an angel here on earth.
She was predeceased by her parents Michael and Helen Petrany. Carol is survived by her children Holly Sullivan, Joshua and Sarah Berka, Joel Berka and Sandy Kane, Katharine Berka and Joseph Marks, and Elizabeth and Troy Widden, treasured grandchildren Devin Applegate, Christopher Sullivan, Ayla Marks, Triston Widden and Luka Berka and the father of her children, David Berka.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with Monsignor John P. Putano officiating. Family will receive friends immediately following services until 4:00 pm. To forward condolences please visit www.demunn.com.
