Carol Blankenship Obituary
Carol Lee Blankenship, 79 of Monaville, WV departed this life on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division in Charleston, WV. She was born on September 27, 1945, in Logan, WV to the late Roy Lee and Iva Jean (Frye) Chappell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Blankenship and one daughter, Jamie Lee Mullins.
Those left to cherish her loving memory includes her children, Bo (Karla) Donahoe of Charleston, SC and Kevin (Teresa) Donahoe of Monaville, WV; grandchildren, Buddy (Anita) Nickell of Stollings, WV, Kelli Donahoe (Elmo Bell) of Mill Creek, WV, Eric Donahoe of Huntington, Colten Donahoe of Monaville, WV; great grandchildren include, Jaxton and Jamie Bell of Mill Creek, WV, and Amelia Nickell of Stollings, WV; and a host of family and friends.
“Mom Mom” loved her family unconditionally and always loved family gatherings. A beautiful person who lived a beautiful life and will be missed by all that knew her.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, April 18, 2025, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Harold McMillen, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Godby, WV. Pallbearers will include Buddy Nickell, Eric Donahoe, Colten Donahoe, Elmo Bell, Lonnie Wells, and Josh Goldie.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the funeral home chapel.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Collins Funeral Home, Inc. of Switzer, WV.
