Carol (Dimmock) Blouin, 78, of Wallingford, beloved wife of Roger Blouin, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, November 10, 2025. Born in New London, Connecticut, on August 27, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Beatrice (Paquette) Dimmock.
Carol earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from Southern Connecticut State University and went on to receive her Master of Science degree in Education from the University of New England. She worked for a few years in the Bridgeport School System and then owned and operated her own daycare centers for many years before retiring. Carol was a devoted member of the First Congregational Church of Wallingford. She loved reading, traveling with her husband, attending church, and spending time with her friends and family. She also found joy in volunteering at the Wallingford Senior Center and taking long walks, often times for many miles at a time.
Carol, is survived by her loving husband, Roger; her son, Daniel (Amy) Catino; her daughter, Kathryn Catino; and her cherished grandchildren, Brandon Rentas, Jr., Kailey (Thomas) Szczepaniak, Danyiala Catino and Aaron Catino. She also leaves behind her siblings, Dorothy Gilbert, Mary, Ray and Albert Dimmock, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Edward, Henry, and Richard Dimmock.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at In Memoriam Cemetery, 18 Maplewood Avenue, Wallingford. Those attending are kindly asked to meet directly at the cemetery. Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext. is assisting the family with arrangements.
