Mrs. Carol Hancock Keaton Boyter, 85, passed away on September 27, 2025, at her home in Winston-Salem, NC.
Carol was born on September 23, 1940, in Gallia, Ohio, to John Lawton Hancock and Mary Agnes Hooker Hancock. She was employed as a seamstress by Hanes Mill and Sara Lee for many years.
Carol was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Keaton; second husband, William Boyter; daughter, Melissa Keaton; and siblings, Joy Harts, Louise Tuttle, David Hancock, Clio Hancock, and Frank Hancock.
She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Boyter (Rick); son, Bobby Keaton Jr. (Lil); grandchildren, Lynn Shear (Randy), John Boyter (Josie), Journie Eddy (Michael), and Meagan Boyter; seven great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Caroline, Pearl, twins, Abigail and Annabeth, Trinity, and Phoenix; step-grandson, Charles White; step-great-grandsons, Aden and Hunter; and brother, Marlon Hancock.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Union Hill Baptist Church, 8494 Lasater Rd, Clemmons, NC 27012.
