She was born on July 8, 1952 in Corning, New York the daughter of Ralph and Marion (Barber) Bentley. Carol was a graduate of Corning East High School, class of 1970. She married Donald Burnside on November 7, 1987.
Carol was a bus driver for 45 years working at Campbell Central School District, Corning- Painted Post School District, and Birnie Transportation. She enjoyed baking and sharing her treats with others.
Carol is survived by her husband, Donald Burnside; three children: George Benedict of Hornby, Ryan Benedict of Wilmington, NC, Cori (Jeremy) Millington of Fairbanks, AK; grandson: Jacob Fisk of Fairbanks, AK; brother, Timothy (Wanda) Bentley Mars Hill, NC; special four legged companions: Oliver and Boomer, along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by her granddaughter, Morgan Fisk; her sister, Joanne Herrick; and her brother, Kenneth Bentley.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Carpenter's Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
